At Dr Irena Eris, we believe in the importance of supporting initiatives that genuinely improve the quality of life for the youngest members of our society. One such initiative is the financial support we provided to the helpline for children and youth, 116 111, operated by the Empowering Children Foundation. From March to April 2024, the helpline’s consultants handled a total of 8,368 phone calls, conducted 1,740 online conversations, responded to 793 emails, and undertook 142 interventions in cases where the life or health of children and youth was at risk. Our help translated into specific numbers: the Foundation was able to conduct approximately 188 hours of additional shifts, allowing another 333 calls and messages to be answered– each of which could have been crucial for a child in need. During this time, the consultants also carried out four interventions, saving the health or lives of young people. Activities for children and young people are part of the broader corporate social responsibility strategy that the company implements daily. Cooperation with the Empowering Children Foundation encompasses not only financial support but also a shared mission to build a better future for children and youth in Poland.
