World’s Most Beautiful Libraries

TIANJIN BINHAI

In 2017, the renowned architectural studio MVRDV, in collaboration with local architects, completed the Tianjin Binhai Library, a 33,700 square meter cultural center featuring a spherical auditorium surrounded by cascades of bookshelves.
VENESSLA

Completed in 2011, this remarkable building serves as a cultural center with a cafeteria and meeting rooms. Its structure, comprising 27 ribs shaping the roof’s geometry, creates a spacious, open interior. Small reading stations along the walls enhance the dynamic and inviting atmosphere for visitors.
VASCONCELOS

The library project seamlessly integrates a public library with a botanical garden. The 250-meter-long structure, constructed from steel, concrete, and glass, is enveloped by lush greenery and water features. Architecturally, the design aims to blend culture and nature into an interpenetrating unity.
STARFIELD

Situated in the heart of COEX Mall, Starfield Library is an expansive public space welcoming visitors to sit, unwind, and indulge in reading alongside fellow bibliophiles.
STUTTGART

Designed by Yi Architects, the new Stuttgart City Library boasts a five-story square plan enveloped by layers of bookshelves and bathed in natural light streaming through its glass roof.
