This time, the choreographer ignored the recognised version of Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s music and searched for another composer, who, in her opinion, would be closest to this whimsical, ludic comedy about the mysteries of love, sex, and the world of dreams. She chose Goran Bregović and his sensual, genius interpretation of old folk motifs, which enjoys great popularity, especially in Poland. It was a bold and risky decision.
What is also spectacular about this undertaking are the costumes designed by one of the biggest artists of the fashion world, Gosia Baczyńska, who revealed an even deeper talent in theatre.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a unique undertaking supported by the brand Dr Irena Eris, under the aegis of Sense of Beauty magazine.
