As always, the Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup was a blend of sports competition and good fun. Apart from the main tournament, the players could take part in on–course games at special contest holes, some of which were sponsored by the partners of the event: Marvipol Development and YES. Moreover, after the first day’s round the ladies competed in a contest called TAG Heuer Nearest to the Line.

They had to send the ball as close as possible to the middle line of a highway spread on the golf course. The most precise stroke was made by Małgorzata Yusufali. On the second day after the main round a spectacular Perrier-Jouët Nearest to the Pin game was held, which was won by Barbara Sas-Szczepaniak. The main award was a unique 6-liter bottle ofPerrier-Jouët Belle Epoque champagne. The players were supported by special guests: Lidia Popiel and Martyna Mierzwa, a multiple-time winner of the Dr Irena Ladies’ Golf Cup, who is now aspiring to represent Poland at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. 

The weather was favorable both for the players and for the guests who enjoyed the attractions prepared by the organizers. Everyone interested could go for a test drive in anAudi. The ladies looked very stylish in polo shirts funded by a golf brand Chervo. After competing on the golf course the players could have some rest with a glass of excellent French champagne.  They also found some time to relax and discover beauty at the Skin Care Institute and the 5-star Dr Irena Eris SPA Hotel Wzgórza Dylewskie.

This year the number of players was larger than in 2013 – there were 70 participants, including a 7-person group from Finland. The atmosphere was very joyful, as many of the players are not only golf lovers, but also close friends. The tournament gives them an opportunity to realize their passions and perfect their golf skills.

The tournament was crowned by the award ceremony at the Dr Irena Eris SPA Hotel Wzgórza Dylewskie. The ceremony was hosted by Beata Sadowska who – together with Doctor Irena Eris and Marek Michałowski, President of the Polish Golf Union – awarded the winners with unique statuettes designed by the YES brand. After the official part everyone could enjoy a special surprise – a concert by polish stars Patrycja Markowska, Urszula, and Artur Gadowski.

We have to wait a full year for the next, 9th edition of the Dr Irena Eris Ladies’ Golf Cup.
