Hyaluronic acid is... an acid.

From the chemical perspective, hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide belonging to the group of glycosaminoglycans (GAG). It occurs naturally in the human body, and due to its water binding properties, it is responsible for maintaining the proper degree of hydration. It surrounds and stabilizes the support fibers of the skin, and thereby reduces the signs of aging. The concentration of hyaluronic acid decreases with time. It may be replenished with cosmetics that contain this precious compound.

Myth
It is not necessary to apply UV-filters on cloudy days.

Fact
It’s advisable to use UV-filters in everyday care, also when there is not much sun. UV radiation can penetrate through the clouds. The UVA rays which cause photo-aging can penetrate the layer of clouds to a larger extent than UVB rays. (Source: www.kosmopedia.org)
